Victoria has kindly agreed to give a talk on the forthcoming 2013 Health Work Programme (the call itself comes out in July 2012, with a likely deadline in early October 2012), and she will also be available that day (am and pm) to hold one-to-one sessions subject to availability. In addition, Inga will be presenting information on future funding available for Health research under Horizon 2020 (successor to FP7), which will run from 2014 to 2020. These presentations will begin at 11.00am, and will run to 12.30pm including time for a Q & A session.

This is being promoted as a  Welsh regional event and is open to academia, industry (large and small) and anyone else with an interest in this area of research.

Early registration is advisable.

The first half of each session will be presented by experts from the Intellectual Property Office, who will provide you with an overview of Intellectual Property, why it is important to your business and how you can make money from it.

First Time Director responsibilities

In the second half of each session, experts from Companies House will help you understand your responsibilities as a company officer and provide details of the filing requirements under the Companies Act 2006.

There are two seminars on the day, each will last approximately 3 hours. At the end of each seminar, refreshments will be provided for attendees who wish to stay for informal networking and 1:1 discussions.

The workshop starts with the evaluation process and criteria, the chief financial conditions including viability checks and guarantees, and rules on intellectual property rights. The main part of the day will focus on the proposal itself, showing how a well designed project and consortium will meet the evaluation criteria. Examples from real proposals will illustrate good and bad practise in presenting bids.

The workshop is aimed at researchers, research managers and advisors who have had some introduction to FP7, such as an FP7 Information Day, and now need to understand the full requirements.
